MARITIME INTELLIGENCE SERVICE

SecPro Africa LTD provide up to date maritime security intelligence through close monitoring and analysis of maritime security developments around the globe and the continual assessment of the threats posed to ports and terminals, commercial shipping and offshore oil and gas exploration and production. We provide analysis of the latest piracy information and statistics, current trends and the affect this has on industry participants such as marine insurance underwriters, marine investors, ship owners, ship manager’s and offshore Oil & Gas companies.
The security challenges and complex risk that maritime and offshore organisations face, is both diverse and fluid and requires specialist information gathering techniques, thorough and comprehensive maritime security risk analysis and understanding to determine the potential risk exposure.
To help organisations understand and interpret these risks and potential threats, we design, develop and deliver project specific maritime security intelligence monitoring, analysis and reporting programmes to improve and enhance maritime domain awareness. We also help clients to take ownership by assisting in the implementation of their own sustainable maritime security intelligence monitoring capability in order to gain real time clarity and focus in relation to the current maritime security situation globally but with emphasis placed on potential factors affecting the client’s areas of operation.
Our maritime security intelligence capability is focused on monitoring higher risk areas such as the Gulf of Aden, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Guinea, Malacca Straits and the Caribbean Sea.

PORT & TERMINAL SECURITY SERVICE

With approximately 90 percent of global trade transported by sea, the safety and security of ports and terminals is critical in sustaining a global supply chain with the vast international network of major seaports providing the vital infrastructure to facilitate the world’s international trade.
SecPro Africa LTD provides independent security advice to Port & Terminal operators as well as government maritime authorities on improving port security management performance and procedures as well achieving greater maritime domain awareness.
We assist clients by taking a “hands on approach”, from initial risk and threat assessment, ISPS compliance and consultancy to security system integration, right through to implementing turnkey coastal area surveillance and maritime domain awareness projects in consultation with national defence departments to deter piracy, terrorism, smuggling, illegal immigration and illegal fishing.
SecPro Africa LTD work closely with clients to understand the nature and extent of security and business risks facing their port or terminal and provide the necessary planning and implementation support including engagement with key stakeholders and agencies such as Naval Forces, Coastguard, Police and other related response agencies in order to achieve and maintain effective multi-agency interoperability.
Sustaining an effective port or terminal security management function once implemented is vital in ensuring future risk mitigation. Oxberry Risk Strategies continues to provide ongoing support through the provision of complete guard force management where necessary, ongoing ISPS compliant port and maritime security advice, training and assessment as well as experienced port security managers as embedded consultants to enable clients to concentrate on the commercial running of the port or terminal safely and successfully.

UNDERWATER & OFFSHORE SECURITY

SecPro Africa LTD provide security for subsea operations and slow moving projects in the Gulf of Aden, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Gulf of Guinea. Cable laying, seismic survey and dive operations can be extremely high risk and in range of piracy attacks as they are often constrained by navigational limits and therefore unable to alter course or conduct evasive manoeuvring. Due to their vessel characteristics, low freeboard and the nature of their operations, pirates can easily board these vessels.
Our specialist and dedicated maritime security consultants and offshore boat teams which, are crewed by former Royal Marines Commando coxswains, provide early warning and detection. Our teams maintain a pre-designated exclusion zone around the client vessel. RHIB’s can be deployed from the client vessel (if feasible) or can be supported and administered from an additional offshore support vessel (OSV).
Our teams are all highly trained maritime security professionals and act as a visual deterrent as well as providing a measured response capability to mitigate the risk of incursions.

We provide experienced offshore security project managers with extensive HSSE experience of offshore drilling and production operations and are familiar with the unique requirements when operating with Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Facilities, Mobile Drilling Rigs and Jack-Ups. Our offshore security consultants are supported by accurate and up to date maritime security intelligence and in most cases, additional resources including offshore support vessels (OSV), offshore boat teams as well as integration of maritime surveillance equipment and technology to enhance early warning and detection capability.
